| The goal of the Office of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs is to provide the most effective support for the appointment, promotion and development of the faculty of the School of Medicine and to stimulate and support the development of the most effective curriculum in undergraduate medical education necessary to prepare students to enter any field of post-graduate training upon graduation. The Office oversees faculty affairs, which includes the appointment, promotion and faculty development for all members of the general medical faculty. Information related to these activities is available in the Office of Academic Affairs, which serves to support and stimulate the maximum potential from all members of the faculty. The Office of Academic Affairs also oversees all curricular activities related to undergraduate medical education. Support for the curriculum is also provided through the Office of Educational Research and Services, the Office of Information Technology and the Standardized Patient Program. The Office of Academic Affairs also supports the Interdisciplinary Courses and Programs that are part of the curriculum. |
